Ochoco Trails has received the fantastic news that the Ochoco National Forest has approved our first two trail projects – the Dry Creek Equestrian Trails and the Bandit Springs Summer Trails.
The Dry Creek equestrian trails will add an additional 2.6 miles of non-motorized trails in the vicinity of Dry Creek Horse Camp and will extend the riding opportunities of the existing 8.5 miles in the Giddy Up Go Trail system.
The Bandit Springs project is a winter to summer trail conversion and will convert approximately 6.5 miles of non-motorized winter trails to summer use, open to hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian users. While the trails are currently cleared for winter use there is no existing tread for summer use. Volunteer work on Bandit Springs will begin fall 2020 as weather allows, and continue into spring and summer of 2021.
